At the end of the session, delegates will:
- have gained an overview of the guiding principles and scope of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and the statutory duties of NHS bodies and local authorities;
- have an understanding of the various stages of the assessment process identified in the National Framework;
- be able to identify the tools prescribed by the National Framework and describe their use;
- have an awareness of the importance of user engagement and the dispute resolution processes, which patients and their families can access.
