Effective Chairing Skills
Overview
This half day programme provides an introduction to the skills required to become an effective chair of professional meetings. Participants will have the opportunity to define specific difficulties and issues and practice skills. N.B. This is a bespoke programme and the content and format will be specifically adapted to target the needs of the customer.
The programme covers:
- managing meetings;
- dealing with dissent and disagreement;
- managing the agenda;
- organisation and time-keeping;
- roles;
- follow through;
- communication;
- listening skills;
- body language;
- speaking with confidence;
- effective summarising;
- decision making.
Target Audience
Professional staff who are required to chair meetings.

No prerequisite study or attendance.
