Continuing Healthcare Practitioner Development Programme
Overview
This one day course provides a thorough introduction to the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS Funded Nursing Care.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will have a range of learning outcomes including:
- an understanding of the historical development of national policy in relation to continuing healthcare;
- familiarity with the guiding principles and scope of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare;
- be able to describe the stages of the process identified in the National Framework;
- be able to identify the tools prescribed by the National Framework, describe their appropriate use and have practiced using the NHS Checklist and Decision Support Tool;
- an understanding of the role of eligibility decision makers;
- an overview of the range of dispute resolution processes to which patients and their families may have access.
