How to change the appearance of this site
  • Change the text size
  • Change the text font

Instructions for Microsoft Internet Explorer users:

Changing the text size
  • Select ‘View’ from the tab at the top of the page
  • Select ‘Text Size’
  • Then select the size of the font from the text size menu
Changing the text font
  • Select ‘Tools’ from the tab at the top of the page
  • Select ‘Internet Options’
  • Select ‘Appearance’ under the General tab
  • Tick the box next to ‘Ignore font styles specified on web pages’
  • Press ‘Ok’
  • Press the ‘Fonts’ button
  • Choose your preferred font from the drop-down menu under ‘Web Page Font’
  • Press ‘Ok’
Changing the text colour or the background colour
  • Select ‘Tools’ from the tab at the top of the page
  • Select ‘Internet Options’
  • Press the ‘Accessibility’ Button
  • Tick the box next to ‘Ignore colours specified on web pages’
  • Press ‘Ok’
  • Press the ‘Colours’ button
  • Un-tick the box for ‘Use windows colours’
  • To change the colour of the background, press the button to the right of ‘Background’.  Choose your colour from the palette and press ‘Ok’
  • Press ‘Ok’ again
Removing the images
  • Select ‘Tools’ from the tab at the top of the page
  • Select ‘Internet Options’
  • Select the ‘Advanced’ tab at the top right corner of the box
  • Scroll down to the ‘Multimedia’ heading
  • Un-tick the box next to ‘Show Pictures’
  • Press ‘Ok’

Help with PDF Documents

You can download Portable Document Format (PDF) documents using Adobe Reader which is available free of charge

If your screen reader software is not compatible with Adobe Reader, Adobe provide a free online tool to convert the content of PDF files to text so they can be understood by most screen reader applications
